In 2015 SILEX FILMS creates SILEX ANIMATION and develops its animation studio in Angoulême (France). The studio was created especially for the production of the 6×52′ documentary series THE ADVENTURERS OF MODERN ART broadcasted on ARTE TV channel in December 2015. SILEX ANIMATION produces projects with strong artistic potential in 2D for TV, cinema and contemporary art. As a line producer, executive producer or coproducer, the studio aims to develop projects as eclectic as the ones produced by SILEX FILMS. Amélie Harrault who directed the short film KIKI OF MONTPARNASSE and co-directed the series THE ADVENTURERS OF MODERN ART is in charge of the artistic direction of the studio.

The MiniWhats are six characters (animals and humans) that evolve together in a world which is all white. One of them in particular, Olive, has the power to draw things that come to life. He creates scenery that comes alive and sets the scene for their imaginary adventures, as well as objects or other characters that help them to get out of sticky situations when they lose their bearings.

Brazen
A 30x3'30'' animated series directed by Phuong Mai Nguyen & Charlotte Cambon de Lavalette, based on the graphic novel by Pénélope Bagieu
The series features portraits of 30 women, some well-known and others less so, who wrote their own destinies, Brazen ladies who were out to tear down prejudice : Apache warrior, Hollywood star, lighthouse keeper, astronaut, empress, pioneers and queens, doctors and athletes, and many others through animated short episodes. Anonymous or well-known, each revolutionary in their own way, these women, wrote their own destinies, changed the world and tore down prejudice.
"Brazen" is the animated adaptation of Pénélope Bagieu’s best-selling graphic novel "Culottées", translated in 17 languages and published in more than 22 countries, Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of International Material in 2019.
